Anti-Castro terrorists attempted to assassinate Che Guevara during his speech at the United Nations Building in New York City. After delivering a passionate speech demanding that a critical eye be placed on colonialism and US imperialism globally, an unknown person fired a mortar shell at him. Although the attempt to assassinate this revolutionary leader failed, the suspect remains unknown. This event occurred in the middle of New York City, and had someone fired a mortar shell at the president of the united states, their would probably be an affirmed suspect waiting for the death penalty about two hours after the fact.
